FAQ
BOOKINGS
To enquire about an appointment email
Email is the only way to discuss bookings, I do not manage any enquiries through social media.
WHAT DO I INCLUDE IN MY EMAIL?
-
A description of what you would like to have tattooed, along with size in cm x cm and placement on the body (e.g; left outer thigh, 10x10cm)
-
Any reference pictures of tattoos / art you like, even a rough sketch to lay your ideas out is very helpful.
-
Days that are best for you to book in an appointment
-
Please include a photo of the area you would like tattooed, and notify if there are any scars, moles, or stretch marks on the area as this can affect the outcome of the tattoo.
-
A clear, well lit and straight-on photo is important. It is often better to ask someone to help you take a photo to avoid angles and distortion. This will ensure that I am more accurately able to design the best piece to suit you.
DO YOU TAKE IN STUDIO CONSULTATIONS OR CAN I ONLY CONSULT ONLINE?
I do take in person consultations if required! Usually for tricky cover ups or larger pieces. It is rare that this needs to happen, and to avoid wasting your time sending a detailed email is best in case your idea is not something that aligns with my current style.
HOW LONG IS THE WAIT FOR A BOOKING? WHAT DAYS DO YOU WORK?
If your request is something I can take on, wait times depend on how large and complex the tattoo is.
Currently my books are about 2 months ahead. I avoid booking out far in advance.
I do not work Sundays or Mondays.
Occasionally I will sometimes post last minute dates in my instagram stories if they become available. So please keep an eye out there for appointments that may better suit your schedule.
WHY DON’T YOU BOOK THROUGH IG/OTHER SOCIAL MEDIAS?
DMS, Facebook messages and carrier pigeons get lost to the abyss. Sometimes they get opened and forgotten about.
Multiple socials and limited time is too much to juggle, so the chance of getting a faster reply is best with email. It’s easier for me to manage everything in one place, avoiding double bookings or you missing out!
I EMAILED AND NEVER GOT A REPLY?
Dear Mr. I'm-Too-Good-to-Call-or-Write-My-Fans
This'll be the last package I ever send your ass
It's been six months, and still no word—I don't deserve it?
I know you got my last two letters, I wrote the addresses on 'em perfect
I reply to every email regardless of if I will take your tattoo on or not. Please email me again if you don’t hear back after 3 weeks. Sometimes things slip through the cracks!
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU CHOOSE MY IDEA?
If you look at my recent instagram posts, that is a good indicator of the style, palette and subject matter that inspires me most and these are the requests I’m keen to take on.
Subjects and themes in my neotraditional/nouveau style that I love to tattoo:
Colour Animals Ladies Art nouveau/ art deco elements
Florals Ornamental and motifs Mythology and Lore
Themes and stories eg. Sea, forrest, fairytale Creative Freedom
General Fun tattoos eg. Gangsta Cats and Pimp Frogs.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU TURN DOWN MY IDEA?
I am not taking on coverups or reworks as often, fresh skin to work with is limitless and I can express my ideas best!
I love colour, I will occasionally tattoo black and grey but not often.
I am focusing on developing my nouveau style, I will refer you to the perfect artist if you are after black and grey, realism, Japanese dotwork etc.
I do not tattoo ribs, stomachs, fingers or necks.
I am tattooing less and focusing on large scale projects which align with my current style that you can see on Instagram. Please don’t be offended if I cannot take you on as a client, I’m grateful you are interested in being tattooed by me! I am just spending more time on other projects and unfortunately can’t fit everyone in..
HOW FREQUENT DO YOU BOOK ONGOING SESSIONS?
When booking a large, multiple session tattoo ideally a session a month/6 weeks.
All new large scale tattoos must have 4 confirmed sessions to start with.
My style/technique/colour palette changes and evolves often so frequent sessions are important for a cohesive healed tattoo.
WHY DON'T YOU SEND OUT DESIGNS?
Scenario: You receive your rough design and in excitement, share it on facebook. Your twice removed sister in law will make an off kilter comment about the design and plant the seeds of doubt, resulting in you getting cold feet on something you have waited years for, researched and completely trusted me to create for you.
I have worked this way for 5 years with no issues so your trust is essential!
I am happy to make minor alterations on the day, but if bigger changes are needed the session will be rescheduled. If I sense uncertainty I will reschedule your session, as I do not want anyone feeling pressured to be tattooed or too nervous to speak up!
WHAT AREAS WON’T YOU TATTOO?
I do not tattoo ribs, stomachs, fingers or necks.
DO YOU DO FREE TOUCH UPS?
All tattoos include a free touch up session, providing you book in for the session within 3 months after getting tattooed for cohesive ink settling.
WILL YOU TATTOO COVERUPS OR REWORK OLD TATTOOS?
Yes, I do cover ups however I am not taking on coverups or reworks as often, clean skin to work with is limitless and I can express my ideas best!
If I agree to a coverup, in some instances I will advise you to have laser done to lighten up the tattoo for a better end result.
HOW LONG DOES A SLEEVE/PANT/FULL BACK TAKE?
Wish I could give an exact answer. Here's why I can’t:
I have completed dozens of full colour sleeves, based on this I can give an estimate of 5-8 sessions usually depending on intricacy of design. The more detail and larger colour palette, the more sessions needed.
Skin is not paper, every single person is different.
Factors include:
Size of body part
The area being tattooed eg. Forearm is an easier area to tattoo making it faster than an inner bicep which is soft , delicate and stretchy.
Skin age, thickness, elasticy, sun damage, extreme weight fluctuations, scars greatly affects tattooing speed and also healing. I am always upfront and honest about what to expect with healing and if any parts of the tattoo may need a rework or second pass
How well and long you are able to sit for each session
How your body heals, this is also super factorial and varies person to person. See my before, during and after tips and AFTERCARE section to help you achieve the best heal possible!
I have found getting optimal nutrition and hydration, following good skin care, as well as being rested helps with smoother tattoo application and faster healing.
I have also noticed medications eg. changes in birth control or menstrual cycle can affect skin texture greatly.
Being stressed, overworked, tired or unwell also affects the ability to sit for long sessions and healing. So make sure you practice good self care before your appointment (and always!)
DEPOSITS/RATES/PAYMENT
DEPOSITS
All bookings require a deposit, which comes off the total cost of the tattoo at the final session. You will not be charged a design or drawing fee. Deposits are between $100 - $200, $200 being for a full day booking. No dates are confirmed until a deposit is paid.
All deposits are NON REFUNDABLE and non transferable, so make sure you are 100% certain on getting tattooed. The deposit can be dropped into the studio in cash, or paid into a bank account. Bank Details will be provided once dates are offered.
DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT? IS IT REFUNDABLE?
A deposit guarantees your appointment time, and will compensate for some of my lost time in the super tragic event of a no show or last minute cancellation. It will also cover my personal time spent drawing your custom piece if you cancel. The deposit is NON REFUNDABLE and NON TRANSFERABLE.
HOW LONG IS MY DEPOSIT VALID FOR? CAN I PAY TO HOLD A DESIGN?
Deposits are valid for 6 MONTHS from date paid and cannot be used to hold designs, only to book sessions.
WHAT CAUSES ME TO LOSE MY DEPOSIT?
If you cancel or reschedule more than twice, a new deposit will be required to rebook. I don’t charge a booking or admin fee, but it does take time out of my day to manage reschedules so please keep this in mind when confirming your booking.
If you need to reschedule your appointment you must give at least 3 days notice, otherwise your deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to rebook. Same goes if you cancel completely or do not show up to your appointment. I am very understanding in the case of illness etc as life things happen.
I’M SICK AND CAN’T MAKE IT. WILL I LOSE MY DEPOSIT?
If you start feeling unwell please give me as much notice as possible. I understand you can wake up unwell the day of and I’m lenient in these situations!
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
Due to only taking on large tattoos, I charge for either half day $800 (3.5 hours) or full day $1400 (6.5 hours)
I have predrawn available designs on instagram available for fixed prices from time to time.
Due to the expense of traveling for interstate conventions I charge a day rate of $1600.
HOW LONG ARE YOUR HALF/FULL DAY SESSIONS?
Half days run 3.5 hours, full days run 6.5 hours.
Occasionally we will run overtime so avoid making bookings and plans after your tattoo session in the case of this.
I offer half days as I do find a lot of people start to struggle after about 3hrs, so don’t be afraid to ask for these bookings!
PAYMENT OPTIONS
We only accept cash in the studio so please come prepared! The ATM is a 10 minute walk away.

TIPS BEFORE AND DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT
-
Maintaining a daily moisturising routine two weeks before your session has proven to be incredibly helpful with the application of tattooing! If you can remember to do this it is greatly appreciated! Sunscreen is also important, I cannot tattoo damaged skin.
-
Take daily vitamins and drink plenty of water
-
Shave the area the morning of your session
-
Try and have a solid night sleep and a decent breakfast the morning of your session. I won’t tattoo you if you haven’t eaten.
-
Avoid drinking alcohol the night before, it thins the blood. The more you bleed the more ink will get pushed out of the skin resulting in a patchy heal.
-
If I have given you the green light to use numbing cream, having a hot hot shower, exfoliating and shaving the skin before you apply it will help it last longer!
-
Plan your journey and take into account the horrendous Melbourne public transport system and traffic delays.
-
Grab cash out the night before and stock up on snacks. Sugary drinks and snacks help so much!
-
Wear comfortable, old clothes. Ink and stencil is hard to get out of clothing. Wear clothing that will give me easy access to the area to be tattooed.
-
Bringing a big comfy hoodie, a blanket and pillow for extra comfort is a good idea too!
-
Phone, Ninendo, headphones. I can’t always chat when I need to concentrate so it’s great to have distractions!
-
I work in a busy open plan studio, if you are having an area tattooed that requires you to be quite undressed good options are:
Zip up/ button up shirt or jacket you can wear backwards
Strapless tops
Tie up bikinis
Split Leg Maxi Skirts/ Dresses
Stick on nipple covers
TIPS AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT
-
Ice, Ice BABY! Get home, flop on the couch and pop a cold pack wrapped in a clean towel on that poor, swollen limb of yours. It makes a world of difference to the swelling, tenderness and healing and is my favourite tattoo tip! 20 minutes every hour or two.
-
You can take painkillers/anti inflammatories like nurofen or voltaren to take the edge off
-
Order in your favourite comfort food, pop on your go to TV series and and have a cry if needed (usually)
-
Have your aftercare products ready to go to avoid running around after your appt

GENERAL FAQ
CAN I GET TATTOOED IF PREGNANT/BREASTFEEDING/HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION?
You cannot get tattooed if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have just finished breastfeeding, it is recommended to wait at least nine months.
Medical conditions such as a blood disease or heart condition etc, or anything that could affect you physically during or after the session, I will not tattoo you unless you have been given clearance from a medical professional.
WHAT STUDIO DO YOU WORK OUT OF?
I am currently tattooing out of Fine Line Tattoos in Melbourne.
I frequently do guest spots around melbourne and interstate/international
You can find travel dates on my Instagram or Website.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS VEGAN?
Yes! I use eternal, world famous and dynamic ink which are all 100% Vegan, and same goes for the stencil cream and ointment I use during the tattoo.

HOW DO I LOOK AFTER MY NEW TATTOO?
CAN I USE NUMBING CREAM?
Please ask me first as I can advise you on suitable brands and how to apply.
In some instances, numbing cream can change the skin texture making it harder to tattoo and cause a rougher heal/potential ink dropout. If this is the case please let me know so a touchup session can be booked. I pride myself in giving you the best and highest quality tattoo I can create.
CAN I BRING A MATE TO MY SESSION?
You may bring a friend along to your session, just no minors please! Due to my sessions running for the entire day, it is preferred if you come alone for concentration.

WILL YOU TATTOO ME IF I'M UNDER 18?
No. This is the law Australia wide, regardless of parental consent. No exceptions.
DO YOU SELL TATTOO GIFT VOUCHERS?
I only have gift vouchers available for purchase to use on my online store. I don't do tattoo vouchers as I need to make sure I can take on the recipient's idea first.
The only time I will do tattoo gift vouchers is if you know someone has a booking/ongoing work with me already. If this is the case please email me and I can arrange a voucher!
DO YOU DO COMMISSIONED ARTWORK? CAN I GET YOUR DESIGNS TATTOOED BY SOMEONE ELSE?
Unfortunately not. I do not have enough extra time to take on commissions, but I always have prints for sale!
The only commissioned work I will take on is for my homewares brand, VANTA. These commissions will be for one off, large scale metal works.
I do not commission tattoo designs to be taken elsewhere.
